Books
One Book One Island is a community reading project on the island of Nantucket, Mass. For 2009, a book selection committee has chosen three titles:
For Adults and High School students:
“American Chica,” by Marie Arana
For Middle School readers:
“Seedfolks,” by Paul Fleischman
For Children:
“Abuela,” by Arthur Dorros
Beginning January 5 everyone is encouraged to pick up free copies of the books at the following locations:
- The Town Building
- Nantucket Atheneum
- Nantucket Cottage Hospital
- Nantucket Historical Association
- Maria Mitchell Association
- Salt Marsh Senior Center
- Annye’s Whole Foods
